Vocational Training Centers

A practical apprenticeship can be completed at three SELAM locations, based on the dual apprenticeship system with a high practical component. The following areas are possible:

Addis Ababa

Metal construction, electrical / electronics, vehicle mechanics / electrics, wood processing, IT and commerce, cooking / service / housekeeping, sewing, agriculture.

Hawassa

Metal construction, wood processing, cooking/service/housekeeping

Dire Dawa

Metal construction

SELAM offers regular courses lasting between one and four years, as well as various short-term training programs lasting just 6 months. 

​

 

In addition, the Misale Training Center - a training center for bus and truck drivers and chauffeurs - has been operating at the SELAM site in Addis Ababa since 2019.
